{ Robert & Wendy : Hollywood Art Deco }

I love brides that know how to think out of the box! I mean, it's always fun no matter what the wedding style, but when a bride comes to you and says things like "Hollywood glam," "art deco," and "rock 'n' roll" you get a little excited!

It all started with the gorgeous art deco vases we found for the centerpieces and the idea of antique 1920's brooches for the bridal bouquet that got us started in the right direction. And judging by this email from the bride, I think we nailed it...

"Just wanted to say THANK YOU for making such beautiful flowers for me!!! We just got back from our honeymoon but I've been wanting to be sure you know how much I loved them! I got so many compliments! The brooch bouquet was rad and I loved the centerpieces! So beautiful!!! You do amazing work."

{ A 60th Birthday Celebration }

It's true what they say, April showers bring May flowers! I hope you're all enjoying this overload on the blog while I play catch up.

I was so excited when my friend Jocelyn contacted me about putting together some springtime arrangements for her mother-in-law's 60th Birthday Celebration in Pasadena. I'm used to doing these HUGE orders for big weddings that are incredibly time consuming and sometimes quite stressful. So it was a nice change of pace to design some beautiful centerpieces for a more intimate gathering.

I just have to say that spring is without a doubt my favorite time to design flowers. I love all the beautiful bulb flowers and being able to mix them in a clean glass vase. For these arrangements I was going for a more modern take on some traditional flowers for more of a fresh feel. I am in love with how they turned out and was excited to hear that the recipient was as well.

"The flowers were amazing! They took my mom's breath away and were the perfect addition to her birthday party. Thank you! You are extremely talented, kind, and generous and I'm grateful our family was the recipient of all three."

Now if that doesn't give you the "feel goods" I don't know what will. Thank you again to the entire Hansen family for a breath of fresh air and a few gorgeous arrangements to add to my portfolio.

{ Aaron & Angela :: Wine Country Wedding }

Imagine my excitement when my friend and former co-worker, Anglea Fite, approached me about designing her wedding flowers and said she wanted "SUCCULENTS, SUCCULENTS, SUCCULENTS!" Of course my heart swelled with joy and I knew this was a relationship that would bear beautiful fruit...or flowers!

From start to finish Angela was an absolute joy to work with. People often ask me "What does that really mean?" It means first, the bride has great taste and a beautiful vision for their wedding, is easy to work with, and most importantly, trusts me, my work, and my ability to deliver a superior product that will knock their socks off. And that was Angela!

Now before I go off and let you see all these gorgeous pictures of Angela's flowers, let me first share with you a small snippet of an email I received from Angela that was enough to almost make me cry...

"First of all, I hope you realize just how unbelievably talented you are. Seriously - there are no words. I've been to some pretty incredible flower shops and weddings in my long lived 30 years and I will say without a doubt, ALL your arrangements far surpass them. I cyber stalked (and continue to stalk) your flower blog and every single arrangement is more incredible than the next. You are a real treasure to the floral arrangement community - and a gem that I was truly blessed with."

See, I told ya so! Most amazing bride ever right there! How I got so lucky to end up working in an industry I love will forever remain a mystery to me. I just count my blessings every day that I get the privilege of designing beautiful things for beautiful people.

{ Michael & Sharon :: A March Wedding }

Happy Springtime everyone! It was a long, hard winter, but I'm back and the blog is ready for action.  It's a busy couple of months with wedding season in full bloom and I'm excited to share a few goodies with all of you!

First up, the Sharon Morris Wedding. I just have to start out by saying how much I adore this bride. We spent many months planning and preparing for her wedding, but it wasn't until the day of her wedding that we had the pleasure of meeting. And what a true pleasure it was.  Such a lovely person, inside and out! I feel so grateful to have been her florist for her special day.

After everything was said and done and I looked back on the long and exhausting weekend I came home and opened up my computer to find this amazing email from Sharon...

"Oh my goodness Aubrey...I just had to take a minute on my honeymoon to stop to tell you about my flowers. How do I even begin to tell you how GORGEOUS they were? When I walked into my reception, my breath was literally taken away!

"I was so impressed with all the details on that gazebo...my brother in law made that gazebo back in August for our niece's wedding and we've lent it out to several weddings since and NEVER EVER EVER has it been as impressive as it was with your touch. And my brother in law was so happy and proud that it took center stage at my wedding! That was just so special, I can't even describe how awesome everything looked!! You are so made to be a floral designer. I just knew you were meant to be mine!!! You made my wedding day so gorgeous, everyone was just thrilled!!

"My sister in law told me about about the guestbook piece that needed to be moved to the food table due to size...I just want YOU to know that I was never upset about ANYTHING at all!! You could have put that flower piece in the bathroom and I would still be salivating over your work. I hope Melissa reassured you that everything you did was perfect and that I wouldn't be upset with anything! Because I wasn't!! I was so so so happy!

"Thank you so much, I can't even thank you enough! Can't wait to get some pictures to you!"

See what I mean? What a lucky designer to have such amazing and incredible clients. I love what I do! Now let's get to those pictures, shall we?

{ Chad & Kelsey :: Wedding Flowers }

My last wedding of 2012 has been blogged! And what a gorgeous note to end the year on. I absolutely loved designing these bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages for Chad & Kelsey's Southern California wedding.

There's just something so refreshing about being able to work with white and yellow flowers in the middle of winter. Warms me up just a little. I hope I have the opportunity to design many more bouquets like these in this new year!

{ A Sneak Peak :: Kelsey's Bouquet }

There's just something so beautiful about an all white bouquet that I just love. It's clean, classic, and timeless. This bouquet I created for Kelsey Lemmon embraces each of those adjectives. It's stylish while at the same time will never go out of style.

The wrap which is difficult to see in this photograph is almost as beautiful as the flowers themselves.  Per the brides request, I wrapped this delicate bouquet in a layer of burlap, some vintage lace, and pearls.  I absolutely love the way it ties the whole look together.  No pun intended.  Ok, maybe a little.

{ Jared & Audrey :: Wedding Flowers }

Happy New Year everyone! It's so not like me to be this behind in my blogging. I guess it's just a testament that it's already been a busy start to this new year!

A couple weeks ago I posted a teaser of a wedding I did for a beautiful couple that married at the Newport Beach LDS Temple. Remember that gorgeous bouquet? Well go ahead an feast your eyes on the rest. What a memorable December wedding this one was.
